Mark Sowka's Bio:
Mark Sowka is Vice President, Engineered Products Group at Chicago Tube and Iron Company. Mark is responsible for the financial and operational performance of the Group, providing the necessary oversight and direction to provide strategic vision and deliver budgetary expectations. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, income statement, balance sheet, sales, marketing, manufacturing operations, engineering, administration, human resources and quality.
Previous Experience:
Mark began his career working for Hughes Aircraft Co. as a Mechanical Design/Aerospace Engineer. In addition, he has spent over ten years with global automotive suppliers ITT Automotive and Continental AG. His career advanced through increasingly responsible positions, including operational and profit/loss responsibility for global business units with sales in excess of $600 million. In 2004 he became Chief Executive Officer of Covenant Equipment Corporation, an industrial equipment business, and in 2010 he was recruited to be the Chief Operating Officer of Livingwell Health Solutions, LLC.
Education:
Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Transforming a loss-generating $50M metal fabrication business, significantly improving operating performance and repositioning business in new markets with improved growth prospects.
Winning $250M in new contracts generating $50M+ profit for a $600M multi-site automotive business unit.
